This is a statement piece on the
Dada movement of the early 20th century. While the participants in the Dada movement could seem as if they were acting ridiculous for ridiculousness' sake, they were ultimately a group of people who were profoundly dissatisfied with the state of both art and society in general in the aftermath of World War I. For this reason, this project portrays the dissatisfaction and irreverence that these men and women felt by throwing it in the viewers' face in a profane, unapologetic way in honor of the Dada spirit. The central part of this sculptural piece rotates to reveal the variety of topics that they wanted to give a giant 'FUCK YOU.'
